2012 Aspen Medical Products San Diego Triathlon

A particular radiance shone through the clouds at the La Jolla Cove on Sunday, October 24, 2012 for the Challenged Athletes Foundation's Annual Aspen Medical Products San Diego Triathlon Challenge. An event created nineteen years ago as a fundraiser to help injured triathlete Jim MacLaren, this year welcomed more than 200 challenged athletes, 550 able-bodied athlete and 5,000 plus supporters. In this year's 24 Hour Fitness Tour de Cove, over 228 cyclists pedaled to the podium with our recent London champions for the four-and-a-half cycling marathon. The Kaiser Permanente Thrive-5K Fitness Walk led 130 walkers on a beautiful tour of San Diego's "Jewel" city, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
